This course offers an opportunity for students to explore in depth a variety of specialized topics in theatrical design or technology. Advanced, new, or experimental techniques for creating exciting visual elements for the stage are emphasized. This course may be repeated once for credit when the topic differs.

Advanced Performance Design provides interdisciplinary exploration for students who have already taken coursework in theatre design (scenic, lighting, costume, sound). Emphasis is placed on study of design- specific analysis, aesthetics, and implementation. This course fosters collaboration, experimentation with emerging technologies, and integration of design disciplines to reflect professional practice in today’s theatre and live performance industries.
